Voices That Resonate

At Echoes of Ability, we tell stories that deserve to be heard.

We are a documentary and storytelling initiative dedicated to amplifying the voices of disabled creatives across Africa and beyond. Through film, visual media, and collaborative storytelling, we spotlight lived experiences that challenge perception, shift narratives, and celebrate creative expression.

Our work centres people—not labels. We focus on identity, talent, resilience, and the cultural contributions of disabled individuals whose stories are too often overlooked or misunderstood.

What We Believe

We believe that:

  • Stories shape understanding

  • Representation changes perception

  • Disability is not a limitation to creativity, but a dimension of it

By creating space for authentic voices, we aim to influence how disability is seen in media, culture, and society—moving away from stereotypes toward dignity and truth.

Our Approach

We work closely with creatives and communities to ensure stories are told with care, respect, and integrity. Whether through documentary film, workshops, or collaborative projects, our approach is rooted in listening first and storytelling second.

This is not storytelling about people.
It is storytelling with people.

What People Are Saying

“Truly transformative storytelling.”
